The largest action sport festival in the South is back, and it is free. Expect high dives, wakesurf throwdowns, highliners, and a full riverfront lineup of live music, all built to celebrate extreme sports while promoting environmental action. A familiar name in Chattanooga's music scene is bringing his industry experience to the classroom. Jerod Morton, also known as "Swayyvo," is now the studio facilitator at Brainerd High School, where students have access to a new studio equipped with laptops, keyboards, microphones and other production equipment. Food insecurity remains a reality across the Tennessee Valley, and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is sharing just how many families it helped feed this year. During its 2026 Fiscal Year, the food bank distributed 21,997,930 pounds of food, equal to 18.3 million meals, up from 16.9 million meals the year before. 333 mobile food pantries distributed nearly 2 million pounds of food, the Foxwood Food Center handed out 47,147 boxes, and volunteers logged 46,943 hours, an increase of 4,000 hours over last year.
